The association aims to encourage the development of personal contacts and exchange visits between people and organisations of all age groups in the two towns in order to promote friendship, cultural understanding, education, and opportunities for all.
Old Coach House Entrance, Billericay
Members of the association receive regular newsletters detailing news, events and fundraising activities. They also receive discounts for twinning events such as quiz nights, coach trips and social evenings.

The twinning has been registered with the Local Government International Bureau (LGIB).
Funding
Any funds required are raised by fund-raising events and donations. Membership is free and the Association relies on the support of its members and the public at events.
